With three generations of Masterton’s behind this heritage brand, the coffee specialists have developed a national footprint of stockists. Strategy was asked to assist in achieving their mission to elevate the brand further – so they could appeal to a larger audience of coffee drinkers.
Rather than a complete overhaul, Strategy recognised that what the oldest coffee roaster in South Africa needed was a realignment of the old-world elements to link its authenticity with its heritage.
The refresh was carried out across a variety of channels from digital, in-store, print and of course the packaging, in which the process saw a team of designers and illustrators collaborate – capturing the unique names of Mastertons’ 30 original blends.
